Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To ensure that his area is clean and neat.
  • Reports shortages and requisitions replacement of products to the sous-chef.
  • Be active in ensuring the health and wellbeing of all guests.
  • Ensures safety in manipulating chemicals products.
  • To ensure that all kitchen sections are clean and neat before leaving.
  • To ensure that all dustbins are washed and sanitized.
  • Sweep and mob floor.
  • Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks.
  • Segregate and remove trash and garbage and places it in designated containers.
  • Wash dishes and silverware while assisting the kitchen staff.
  • Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand.
  • Load or unload trucks picking up or delivering supplies and food
  • Maintain cleanliness in the dishwashing area, ensuring dishes, glassware, and cutlery are washed and stored properly.
  • Manage composting programs, such as repurposing food waste into compost

Any other cognate duties as may be necessary in the circumstances and/or required by the employer.

Candidate’s Profile:

  • Minimum Form 1
  • Knowledge in the cleaning procedures
  • Good listener
  • Good communication skills
  • To be friendly
  • Be flexible enough so as to be able to work in 24 hour rotating shifts
