Duties and Responsibilities:
- To ensure that his area is clean and neat.
- Reports shortages and requisitions replacement of products to the sous-chef.
- Be active in ensuring the health and wellbeing of all guests.
- Ensures safety in manipulating chemicals products.
- To ensure that all kitchen sections are clean and neat before leaving.
- To ensure that all dustbins are washed and sanitized.
- Sweep and mob floor.
- Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks.
- Segregate and remove trash and garbage and places it in designated containers.
- Wash dishes and silverware while assisting the kitchen staff.
- Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand.
- Load or unload trucks picking up or delivering supplies and food
- Maintain cleanliness in the dishwashing area, ensuring dishes, glassware, and cutlery are washed and stored properly.
- Manage composting programs, such as repurposing food waste into compost
Any other cognate duties as may be necessary in the circumstances and/or required by the employer.
Candidate’s Profile:
- Minimum Form 1
- Knowledge in the cleaning procedures
- Good listener
- Good communication skills
- To be friendly
- Be flexible enough so as to be able to work in 24 hour rotating shifts
