JOB SUMMARY :

We are looking for a Room Attendant to join MEDINE GROUP | Tamarina Golf & Spa Boutique Hotel

The Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and presentation in guest rooms of the hotel. The role involves cleaning, sanitizing, and preparing rooms to ensure a comfortable and pleasant stay for guests. The Room Attendant must follow hotel standards and procedures, report any maintenance issues, and ensure that all assigned areas are kept clean, organized, and well-stocked. The position requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to providing excellent service to support a positive guest experience.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Clean guest rooms, meeting rooms, lobbies and other common areas of the Hotel. 
  • Operate various mechanized cleaning equipment. 
  • Mopping, emptying trash and changing bed and bath linens in each room. 
  • Washing and drying the linens and keeping them available at all times. 
  • Washing windows. 
  • Clean wash basins, mirrors, commodes, tubs and showers daily. 
  • Check all vacant rooms daily. 
  • Ensure that safety and security standards are maintained within own area of responsibility. 
  • Ensure that the highest standard of personal health and hygiene are maintained at all times.


CANDIDATE’S PROFILE :

Qualifications Required:

  • Minimum of SC or equivalent.

Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in building maintenance, hotel maintenance, or a similar role is preferred.


Key competences (Knowledge, Skills, Attitudes, Behaviours):

  • Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures, chemicals, and housekeeping equipment.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
  • Physically fit and able to perform tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards guests and colleagues.
  • Ability to follow hotel policies, safety procedures, and instructions from supervisors.
  • Basic understanding of hygiene and sanitation standards.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
