JOB SUMMARY :

We are looking for a Golf Operations Assistant to join MEDINE GROUP | Tamarina Golf Club

The Golf Operations Assistant supports the daily operations of the golf facilities to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for members and guests. The role involves assisting with tee time reservations, coordinating golf activities, welcoming players, and providing information about the golf course and services. The Golf Operations Assistant also helps maintain the organization of the pro shop and golf equipment, ensures guests receive excellent customer service, and works closely with the golf operations team to maintain high service standards. The position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality and golf.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily golf operations and ensure smooth coordination of activities at the golf facility.
  • Welcome and assist golfers and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Manage tee time bookings and reservations, including phone and in-person inquiries.
  • Provide information to guests about the golf course, rules, schedules, and available services.
  • Assist with the preparation and organization of golf carts, equipment, and practice areas.
  • Ensure golf facilities, reception areas, and equipment are clean, organized, and presentable.
  • Monitor the pace of play and communicate with players when necessary to maintain course flow.
  • Report any maintenance issues, safety concerns, or guest feedback to the supervisor.
  • Follow all golf policies, safety procedures, and operational standards
  • Show the customers the right cart or trolley and show them the way. 
  • Carry golf bags or pull the cart that contains the golf bags around the golf course for the customer. 
  • Locate driven balls and holds marker out of cup while players putt. 
  • Keep work area litter free and tidy at all times. 


CANDIDATE’S PROFILE :

Qualifications Required:

  • Minimum of SC or equivalent.

Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in golf operations, hospitality, customer service, or a similar role is an advantage.


Key competences (Knowledge, Skills, Attitudes, Behaviours):

  • Basic knowledge of golf rules, etiquette, and golf course operations is preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Friendly, professional, and well-presented personality.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and interact with guests from different backgrounds.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Basic computer skills for handling bookings and reservations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Physically fit and able to assist with golf equipment and carts when required..
