We are looking for a Golf Maintenance Assistant to join MEDINE GROUP | Tamarina Golf Club
The Golf Maintenance Assistant supports the upkeep and maintenance of the hotel’s golf course to ensure it remains in excellent playing condition. The role involves assisting with daily turf care, landscaping, and maintenance of the golf course, including greens, fairways, bunkers, and surrounding areas. The Golf Maintenance Assistant works closely with the golf course maintenance team to ensure the course is well-presented, safe, and maintained according to established standards. The position requires attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality golf course conditions.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily maintenance of the golf course, including greens, fairways, tees, and rough areas.
- Perform routine turf care tasks such as mowing, trimming, watering, and fertilizing.
- Maintain and rake bunkers to ensure proper playing conditions.
- Assist with landscaping duties, including planting, pruning, and maintaining shrubs and trees around the golf course.
- Operate and maintain golf course maintenance equipment and tools safely.
- Help with irrigation system checks and basic repairs when required.
- Remove debris, leaves, and litter from the course to maintain cleanliness and safety.
- Assist with course set-up, including moving tee markers, flags, and signage.
- Monitor the course for any damage, hazards, or maintenance issues and report them to the supervisor.
- Follow all safety procedures and environmental practices while performing duties.
- Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure the golf course is maintained to high standards.
CANDIDATE’S PROFILE :
Qualifications Required:
- Minimum SC or equivalent.
Experience Required:
- Previous experience in golf course maintenance, landscaping, groundskeeping, or a similar role is an advantage.
Key competences (Knowledge, Skills, Attitudes, Behaviours):
- Basic knowledge of turf management, irrigation systems, and landscaping practices is preferred.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks, including lifting, bending, and working outdoors for extended periods.
- Familiarity with the safe operation of maintenance equipment and tools.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality course conditions.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
