Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and development of the events plans, programs and calendar for each year/season:
  • Assist in preparing the overall annual events’ plans and budget for the park
  • Ensure that all group bookings/events confirmed by sales are attended operationally
  • Ensure negotiation with clients is done in a professional manner
  • Propose new ideas to attract clients and to increase revenue
  • Compose, publish and distribute Function Sheet (FS) / Function Plan (FP) to all department heads and personnel who are in involved in Banquets and Events
  • Prepare signage and menu items for all banquets/events
  • Develop programs/teams to create and execute new and innovative ways to promote entertainment
  • Assist in the creation of detailed run of show for events and be part of on-site production to ensure smooth execution of events including critical decisions regarding event management in the field as related to staffing, event logistics, event control, emergency management and safety and breakdown
  • Responsible for the design and development of the entertainment plans, programs and calendar for each year/season
  • Attend daily events briefing providing accurate updates on details of bookings and enquiries.
  • Provide periodic budget follow up on targets achieved.
  • Ensure timely acknowledgement and response from client and internal departmental request.
  • Conduct Site inspection with the client prior to the event to ensure proper understanding
  • Control costs on a continual basis within approved budgetary controls
  • Assist the Sales Specialist – Events in preparing the budget

Any other cognate duties as may be necessary in the circumstances and/or required by the employer.

Candidate’s Profile:

  • Degree in Hospitality Management, Events Management or any other relevant discipline
  • Have minimum 3 years working experience in similar capacity in hospitality industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational Skills
  • Internal and External Client Service orientation
  • Dynamic and Outgoing personality
  • Customer service excellence to internal and external customers
  • Possess good organizational skills, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent skills on hosting and events management
  • Able to work flexible hours and on week-ends if needed
