JOB SUMMARY :
We are looking for a Deputy Head of Golf to join Tamarina Golf Club
Your role will be to play a pivotal leadership role in the daily operation and strategic development of Tamarina Golf Club. The role combines golf operations, event management, membership development, and food & beverage integration, ensuring a seamless, high-end guest and member experience
Duties & Responsibilities
Golf Operations
- Support the Head of Golf in the daily management of golf operations.
- Oversee tee sheet management, guest experience, and pace of play.
- Supervise golf services staff and ensure professional standards
- Assist in the delivery of coaching programs, clinics, and player development initiatives..
Event Coordination
- Plan, organise, and execute all club competitions, corporate days, and private events.
- Act as the primary liaison for external event clients and sponsors.
- Coordinate logistics across golf operations, F&B, and marketing teams.
- Ensure events reflect the premium positioning of Tamarina Golf Club
Membership Development & Experience
- Manage membership enquiries, onboarding, and retention strategies.
- Build strong relationships with members, ensuring a personalised experience.
- Develop initiatives to enhance member engagement and community.
- Monitor member satisfaction and implement continuous improvements.
Food & Beverage Integration
- Work closely with F&B management to align golf and hospitality operations.
- Contribute to the development of event menus and clubhouse offerings.
- Ensure seamless service delivery between golf operations and F&B.
- Support revenue growth through integrated golf + dining experiences..
Leadership & Succession Development
- Act as Deputy to the Head of Golf, stepping in when required.
- Participate in strategic planning, budgeting, and operational reviews.
- Demonstrate leadership across all departments.
- Prepare to assume full Head of Golf responsibilities within 2–3 years.
CANDIDATE’S PROFILE :
Qualifications Required:
- PGA Professional or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a golf operations leadership role.
Key competences (Knowledge, Skills, Attitudes, Behaviours):
- Proven experience in event management and membership services.
- Strong understanding of food & beverage operations within a club environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commercial awareness with a focus on revenue generation and guest experience
- Leadership mindset with clear ambition to progress into a senior management role.
- Highly organised with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple departments simultaneously
