The Fondation Medine Horizons (FMH) contributed Rs 170,000 this year to Association Les Enfants d’un Rêve for the ‘Pitila Petzi’ pre-primary school located in Richelieu. This funding also includes contributions from Generali Worldwide Insurance Ltd. and the Sam’s Friends Events 2017.
The FMH’s financial support was used to pay the school fees of fifteen vulnerable children, to refurbish the school’s playground and create an appropriate lunch area. A number of chairs and an outdoor playhouse were also purchased. The recreational and educational impact of these items is considerable as they offer safer play and more hygienic eating conditions.
The space was officially inaugurated on the 31st of October 2017 in the presence of its director, Mariane Ignace; Celine Guillot-Sestier, the Group Communication & CSR Manager at Medine; Nicholas Charoux, financial advisor at VFS International Ltd; Eric De Chasteauneuf, a representative of the Association Les Enfants d’un Rêve; Guianella Marie-Louise, FMH coordinator, the centre’s teachers, as well as a number of parents and their children.
