The employees of Medine once again responded positively to the Group’s call for donations, this time, to help the children attending two schools of the region. Shoes, school bags, water bottles, school kits, notebooks, folders, binders, caps, coloured pencils or USB sticks were collected and distributed on Friday, November 30, to some thirty primary school children from the village of Albion and forty or so students of Bambous State Secondary School (Boys).

Bambous SSS (Boys) presently accommodates 350 students and its rector, Mr. Manally mentioned, during the official donation ceremony, that “Some of our students were in great need of these school materials. We are grateful for the involvement of the employees of the Medine Group and this initiative will be of great help to these children!”

This initiative is part of the commitment of the Group and its employees to promote mutual aid and volunteerism. The Medine Group is convinced that development is sustainable only if it is an inclusive and collaborative project and works with all its internal and external partners on the concepts of ACT, GIVE and FUND. A culture of volunteering has been upheld for several years, enabling employees of the Group to commit regularly upon concrete, recurrent or ad-hoc actions.

According to Céline Guillot-Sestier, Group Communications and CSR Manager: “Collaboration and selflessness are essential if we want to make a real difference and change things in a positive and sustainable way. We are extremely proud to see the involvement of our colleagues throughout the Group who, each time, are more and more numerous to respond to the various initiatives that we are putting in place, in collaboration with our social partners of the region.”
